Time and time again, we find that ElementalCraft pipes are very unoptimised for the server. They consume a lot of us/t for seemingly no reason.
The idea is basically avoiding as many ElementalCraft pipes as possible. The highlighted Element Container is the block linked to the Entanged Block (Linked with an Entangled Binder). What an Entangled Block does when bound to another block, is that it simulates EVERYTHING from said block. Easily noticeable when you link it an Element Container. The pipe connects to the Entangled Block bound to a Container.
Obviously, the Entangled Blocks aren’t made for just ElementalCraft. They work for item transferring too. The highlighted barrel to the left is simulated by the Entangled Block, and the item pipe pulls items from the barrel, despite of being disconnected, thanks to the Entangled Block simulating said barrel.
It also works with energy transfer! As you can see, the Mekanism cable is filled with the green colour, signifying it’s transporting energy.
