Avoid using many Import Buses

replace it with Interface If machine offers an option to Auto Export/Eject

Another alternative would be (if machine doesnt have an option to auto extract), using Pipez (Or any other item transportation way) to export Items from machines straight to the ME Interface which sends items directly to your system

Dont overuse Crafting Cards

Paired with Export Bus, can come at high cost of performance on large Networks

Alternative would be ME Requester , to keep items in stock and tps in check
Although not tested on large networks, but seems to perform better on a smaller scale
